Really, these are but glorified selfies – of yours truly! Thus far, the focus of my photography has been nature and architecture, but my plan is to eventually involve other humans in my imagery. With that in mind, I’ve been practicing on myself, though ordinarily I am quite camera-shy. I usually work in color but here are some of my efforts in black-and-white. Part of me feels a little weird about posting my photos on a blog that features “real” artists and photographers, but then again it is my blog, and hardly anyone visits anyway, so why not?

  1. You are as real an artist as ever I’ve encountered. I admire the way the formal discipline of your still lifes influences your portraits, just as your sense of character feeds your work in still life.
